Sustainability & Environment
At Riverview House, we are conscious of the environment and being more sustainable.
We have installed a 12Kw solar system to generate electricity for all the power used within the property, and have future plans to install batteries for all our energy needs. We run on river water for all our amenities, and fresh rainwater is collected in our rainwater tank on the property for cooking and drinking.
Our aim is for Riverview House to become an off-grid bed and breakfast. Along with implementing compostable bins and a worm farm for our garden beds, we look forward to installing our very own bee hives to harvest fresh honey for our guests to enjoy. Looking after our environment is at the heart of everything we do.
We continue to monitor the carbon footprint at Riverview House and looking at other ways to improve over time.
