Mannum Dock Museum, Mannum

The Mannum Dock Museum of River History is located on the banks of the River Murray in the nearby historic river port town of Mannum. The museum incorporates the Paddle Steamer Marion, the historic Randell Dry Dock, the Keys Beam Engine and the Mannum Visitor Information Centre.

Mannum Waterfalls, Mannum

It’s a 10-minute scenic drive from Mannum to one of nature’s outstanding sculptures. This is a popular bushwalking destination, with moderate to steep walking tracks along Reedy Creek to the falls. The falls are a geological phenomenon with large granite outcrops rising from the plains around the Reedy Creek to provide natural waterfalls. Alongside these outcrops are walking trails for those who wish to enjoy the scenery in close proximity. With very scenic views, an abundance of wildlife, along with fascinating geology.

Good walking shoes required. Not recommended during hot weather.

The Round House, Murray Bridge

The Round House is one of Murray Bridge’s oldest surviving buildings having been completed in 1876 during the construction of the first bridge to span the Murray River. This historic home played a significant role in the early history of the township, and now operates as a vibrant community space that welcomes visitors, and tells the story of the bridge and early township. Located in the heart of the historic rail and wharf precinct, and a short stroll to the CBD and cafes, the Round House is a key attraction on the Discovery Trail.

Monarto Safari Park, Monarto

Monarto Safari Park, formerly known as Monarto Zoo, is the largest safari experience to exist outside of Africa. Spanning more than 1,500 hectares and home to more than 50 species of exotic and native mammals, birds, and reptiles, you can actually fit every major zoo in Australia in Monarto Safari Park and still have land leftover! Monarto Safari Park is home to many of Africa’s most impressive animals, and also one of Australia’s largest lion prides and giraffe herds. The park is located 55 minutes (62 kilometres) from Riverview House and is the gateway to the picturesque Murraylands region.

The Bend Motorsports Park, Tailem Bend

The Bend Motorsport Park is an international award-winning, state-of-the-art, world-class motorsport facility, offering major spectator events, adrenaline-filled experiences, and unique accommodation. The Bend is unique in having all motorsport disciplines ‘through the one gate’, including circuit racing for cars and motorcycles, Australia’s only purpose-built drift circuit; a karting circuit; a rally-cross circuit; driver training facilities; a 4WD adventure park, and a rally/off-road facility. An international Group 1 dragway and airstrip for light aircraft are also part of the master plan for future stages of development.
