Mannum Dock Museum, Mannum
The Mannum Dock Museum of River History is located on the banks of the River Murray in the nearby historic river port town of Mannum. The museum incorporates the Paddle Steamer Marion, the historic Randell Dry Dock, the Keys Beam Engine and the Mannum Visitor Information Centre.
Mannum Waterfalls, Mannum
It’s a 10-minute scenic drive from Mannum to one of nature’s outstanding sculptures. This is a popular bushwalking destination, with moderate to steep walking tracks along Reedy Creek to the falls. The falls are a geological phenomenon with large granite outcrops rising from the plains around the Reedy Creek to provide natural waterfalls. Alongside these outcrops are walking trails for those who wish to enjoy the scenery in close proximity. With very scenic views, an abundance of wildlife, along with fascinating geology.
Good walking shoes required. Not recommended during hot weather.
The Round House, Murray Bridge
The Round House is one of Murray Bridge’s oldest surviving buildings having been completed in 1876 during the construction of the first bridge to span the Murray River. This historic home played a significant role in the early history of the township, and now operates as a vibrant community space that welcomes visitors, and tells the story of the bridge and early township. Located in the heart of the historic rail and wharf precinct, and a short stroll to the CBD and cafes, the Round House is a key attraction on the Discovery Trail.
